Hi Stuart, Just take her passport and as much proof as possible that she has been applying for work, when Ging went to get her NI she was told to photo copy all job applications that she had applied for, but the day before she went she had a job to start the following day. best of luck Stuart and Mai From Ricky and Ging

Make sure she has proof or at least has your national insurance number. My Wife went to the interview with my parents as escorts as the interview was in harlsden of all places, as i was not able to get the day off. They didn't need the number in the end but it meant they had to look it up or do more checks.

The interview was not to bad in fact fairly simple if you have plenty of proof of id etc. I think most of the time was spent waiting around.

Good luck

For anyone about to go apply for a national insurance number, dont worry it was very easy for Mai... We took along what people mentioned above.. Evidance of where she is staying, passport,my national insurance number and also two job application forms she had just received.. All the lady asked at the interview was the type of work she was looking for, that was it... Very easy.. She now just has to wait a few weeks to have the national insurance card posted out.. Hope this little bit of advice helps anyone about to apply...
