View Full Version : Reward mile exchanges?

I've noticed that some of the airlines allow you to gift your miles to a third party.
I'm not sure if there's any interest in this idea, if it's possible and if it's within forum rules:Erm:
I thought that most of us must have a collection of miles with multiple airlines that won't actually get us very far ( I certainly have:rolleyes:)
Therefore if we are able to swap unwanted miles with another member, we might all benefit from cheaper reward flights.
I don't know if 1 KLM mile is worth 1 Emirates, Cathay or BA mile ...etc, but I hope someone with more knowledge (Ricky R) can shed light on this and offer advice.
Does anyone think this is a good idea?

For starters I have 18500 KLM miles, 20500 Emirates Miles, 14000 Cathay Miles, and 1500 PAL Mabuhay miles if anyone wants to make me an offer:icon_lol:

You can get a decent flight with Emirates for 20,000 :xxgrinning--00xx3: I got to Las Vegas on US Airways for 20,000 :D

Are you sure Keith? I looked on their website and It will get me from Birmingham to 30000 feet over the English Channel in cargo class:icon_lol:

Well I have some BA miles that I would rather convert to Starwood Points.
I know I can do it from Starwood to BA.
Anyone know?

I'll swap my Cathay and PAL miles for Emirates or KLM if anyone's interested

It's a bit like Swap Shop - Keith can be Noel, but who's going to be Cheggers:icon_lol:
