Squatters have invaded the home of two sisters who are away on holiday as fears grow that an organised network of eastern Europeans is targeting London properties.

Another report here - sickening attitude from the Met Police

"The response from the police was these people were there legally.'

I'm sure DC made a speech about this recently.
I had the impression that squatting was now illegal, seems I was wrong and nothing has been done to change these stupid laws :cwm23:
Unbelievable :NoNo:

These vermin will no doubt have a track record of begging, shoplifting, theft, benefit fraud etc etc and should be deported as soon as they first offend. The French and Italians know how to deal with them - we should follow their example instead of allowing filth to abuse our system and people

We have enough of our own low life who don't stick to the law and massive unemployment problems, we should have done like the more enlightened EU nations and kept a lid on Eastern European immigration. There's also the pressures put on housing, education and health sectors caused by Labours open doors policies.

Tell me about it.

My own boy is halfway through his A-levels, and lord knows what's going to happen regards uni' places and costs now.

If he was the son of a rich Arab though, or of a corrupt Nigerian politician, now that our higher education system is run as a business open to all-comers, rather than seats of learning for our own citizens....in this competitive global economy, where we are urged to compete from being infants, and parents like me paying high taxes to help fund OUR education system all their bloody lives ! :NoNo:

I read recently there's a student girlie in Manchester starting a Human Rights action against the Jocks - Scottish Universities are free to locals and other EU students but the poor old English wanting to study north of the border have to pay fees - you couldn't make it up !

She's right.

Totally unacceptable.

Why the hell SHOULD we be effectively subsidising these countries out of our taxes....especially bearing in mind that obscenity of a rip-off building housing the Scottish Parliament !

If my son goes to live with his mother in Sweden his education will be free.

That is also worrying me at the moment. :cwm3:
