from a few days ago, but I dont recall reading anything about it on here, citizenship is not always for life then :D

Apparently NOT :NoNo: ... having said that, I've always had my suspicions that naturalised Britons COULD be stripped of their citizenship if convicted of serious criminal activities.

Nor me :rolleyes: ... otherwise you'd have thought the likes of Dedworth would've picked up on it! :anerikke: ... but there again, the article appeared in the 'Guardian' - and [possibly] not the Daily Mail.

I was aware of those rules joe.
The most media published case I recall involving this law was related to Abu Hamza.
Seems our govt failed there as he was not a dual citizen. The Egyptian govt. withdrew his nationality first.

I doubt that Anna Chapman..(The Russian spy) cares much about her British status..
Seems she has become a big star with her own TV programme in Russia since her home coming!
