I'd love to watch it now, but I haven't got time. Remind me in a couple of weeks.

There was a Lightning based a few miles from me for about 10 years whilst it was loving restored to full flying condition again:xxgrinning--00xx3: Seeing that thing take off and hearing the engines was truly awesome:D

Last year the Vulcan flew very low and very many times over our village.
Spectacular sight and sound for free. Even my wife was so amazed.
I think it was showing at close by Sywell airport.

Fantastic stuff ! :xxgrinning--00xx3:

One of my favourite ever planes.

At one time I lived a couple of miles from RAF Linton-on-Ouse (70s), and occasionally a Vulcan would land and take off. Amazing sound ! :cwm24:

Apparently the Concorde's engines were tested out on a Vulcan. :)

:xxgrinning--00xx3:Great videos the engine noise is awesome with the volume whacked up. Favourite bits the bloke saying "Jesus Christ" as it takes off at Doncaster and the bomb bay open at Sunderland

My fav was standing close to Harrier jump jet as he hovered just above the ground-feeling the floor shake was brill.
He then shot off up into the sky(we were near York) and 'nipped over to Blackpool (80 miles away) and said he would be back in 15 mins:omg:

I'm so glad I took my son to see the Concorde doing its last ever take-off from Leeds-Bradford airport (when they used to do short 'joy-rides' in it).

He was well-impressed :D and of course something to tell HIS kids.
