Anyone had any history with one of these?

How easy are they to get for my wife,? more than likely to be granted?

I can get a local sponsor etc, just wanted to know if anyone had any experience before

Lot's of Brits/Europeans go to Brunei for long weekends, so for westerners it must be fairly straight forward. As we know Visa's are far more difficult for Pinoy/Pinays unless it is in the SEA region.

I'd be interested to find this out myself, as I'd quite like to meet my mahal there sometime instead of me keep going to the other side of the world.

bruneicop,
When we lived in Japan I took my wife to Dubai just for a week holiday during 2002.
It was a little bit of a pain as they said she needed some special visit visa.
(couldn't get regular tourist visa)
We needed to have the application made by a resident sponsor (friend of mine who lived in Dubai)
It took about 2 weeks in total to get hold of it.
Importantly, though and we needed to deposit a monetary guarantee for the visa.
Can't remember how much but seem to recall something like maybe £250

Hopefully the process may be easier now, but still tricky for Phils passport holders.
Absolutely loads of OFW's in Dubai

Just be aware it has the usual barriers to overcome for Phils passports

Thanks once again Terpe, did you have to send the passport to dubai first?

No we did not send the passport, just photocopies of the usual key pages.
I remember we did not get the copies notarised either. Seemed no problem.

That's a nice site. :xxgrinning--00xx3:
Hadn't seen that one before. My wife has British Passport now, but still useful for those times we might take family on holiday.
