I bought a brand new Peugeot 205 in 1989, my first diesel.

She did 350,000 miles and still going strong when I said goodbye. :)

Then bought a Rover SLDi turbo, which I moved on at 160,000, but really good car.

I now have one of the last made MGZS 115+ diesels, reg in 2006...so far so good.

Can't go wrong with diesels. The best one I had was an Escort but I think that one had an engine made by Peugeot. Bought it with 17k on the clock and can't remember ever spending anything on it apart from a couple of tyres. I don't think I ever changed the oil. :yikes: Sold it with around 76k on the clock.
