Not seen it yet but if no free kick was given and keeper put it on floor to kick out then it's in play and an outfileld player can attack the ball:doh

Clattenburg is on the Old Trafford payroll - he was the knobhead who alone amongst 70000 didn't see Roy Carroll scoop out a ball that was a yard over the line thus robbing Totnum of victory

Sorry to comment on this thread. I am not an avid fan nor an expert, but I've seen this a couple of times. Clearly there was total misunderstanding all round.
The officials discussed and allowed the goal. All the pundits have a technical view.
If the goal had been disallowed there would have just the same amount of discussion.
Seems the ref did not blow his whistle!

Now I have seen it it's still hard to answer clearly but as we were always told play to the whistle:)
