Hi all,
Sorry if this has been talked about before, I only watch films when they show on TV!

I watched "The Great Raid" last night.
About the rescue of 500 american prisoners of war from the Japanese POW Camp near Cabanatun in the Philippines.

It is based on a true story and showed a lot of courage from the Filipino people who helped the serviceman.

Areal eye opener for me

And I recorded it from BBC 1 so no damn adverts:xxgrinning--00xx3:

Hi Mick,
I watched this film a couple of years ago.
Still have it somewhere on my external storage.

Great story of human courage.

Even up to these days, that certain courage of every filipino is still around. I just wish that the younger generations are being taught the principles of the heroes who long gone the essence of democracy that we are having right now. Not out right freedom though because the people and govt are blinded with money and personal greed. Sad to say it is not widely practiced, hopefully the new generations will be open up and have that kind of principles for self and nation.
