I like to test things out so i installed the new windows live essentials beta pack.

Nightmare it's clearly very much in beta stage and I cannot remove it fully, repair it or instal older version:censored:

Tried everything I can think of and as someone who sorts peoples pc's out find this embarrasing:NoNo:

....no joy:cwm23:

Trust me... you wouldn't want my sister anyway :cwm3:

Looks like you'll manually have to trash the registry.

MySQL stopped working when my m/b crashed and I couldn't get it to reinstall kept getting an error. So I installed W7 on a fresh drive... and still got the same error :Erm: ... It's not the installer that works fine on my other systems :doh ... and the exact niggles I had on Vista are on W7 ... hence I said all along it's just Vista with the front bit changed.

So why is it working on their machines?

Because every machine is different,You will find many people cannot do anything with it once you attempt to re-install it.

I know that:icon_lol:

The problem was microsoft removed the clean up utility as it messed up other things, thats what I needed:cwm23:

Luckily my son found a link and was able to use that to solve the problem, lots of deleteing was required but I'm happy for now but will format in time as I love a quick format:hubbahubba:

Nice one glad its alsorted. Very handy tool that and I think the real reason its not avaiable anymore is due to people abusing it:D

Also I guess so many industry people simply make a snapshot http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/rest2.htm or simply flatten and reload an image on they think all people must do and not simply want to fix the OS and keep it in situ.

While at work we simply flatten and reload an image at home we have PC's with XP installs years old..
