Do not turn this thread into a religious argument. I'm interested to know what the Filipina's think about the abuse by the Catholic Church in the Philippines, and has the Church/Pope done enough?

The Pope has taken a pounding back in Germany for doing basically nothing, as all the Catholic Church say is that they are answerable only to God.

When I was last in the Philippines the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Manila was Cardinal Jaime Sin. He played a role in the "People Power" revolution which toppled President Marcos. He was made Cardinal by Pope Paul VI. There were many jokes around his name : "The greatest sin of all" and (allegedly) his own pun about his official residence "Welcome to the House of Sin" :)
