Hello,

Could anyone help me please.

Recently I used different photoshops to alter the background of the subject but it turned out that the entire photo changed. Can anyone tell me how to make the photo background white or black leaving the subject in color?

Is there any free photoshops I can use for this? Right now I am using Jask Paint Shop Pro.

Thanks.

With Fireworks you can select any colour to make it transparent, you could then drop the image onto any colour background you like.

But its not free.

you need to learn how to use masking and layers..

I am no expert (although I do know how to do it, but to tell you would take me ages..) If you google masking or even go to youtube and look it up, you will find tons of videos that will show you how to use that effect. And the reason why you use a mask is so that the actual image is left unharmed, if you make a mistake.

Look up tutvid on youtube, I am sure I learnt it first throught their tutorial:xxgrinning--00xx3:
