HI All,

I was recently offered a job in the UK (Scotland) to work as a Control System Engineer in a pharmaceutical plant. Do you have any idea how much engineers get in Scotland per year?

What are the expenses? My agency is collecting 5000 UK Pound for the paperwork, visa, airfare etc., another 5000 for tax, and 4500 for the house. Is it common practice for agencies to collect this big?

Kumusta naman ang mga Pinoy engineers dyan?

Any comments will be appreciated.

1) Agencies will rip you off, but not much of a way around it, unless you go direct to the company and explain the fact you are being ripped off, and is there another way of doing it.

2) Scientific companies in the UK are very short on staff.
