It's not malt vinegar, it's much nicer than that, vinegar and Raw Chilli with Kalamansi and baked Tilapia stuffed with lot of veg, yummm :)

Surely, there must be soething other than Maccie D's and Jollibee? I'm sure after a long flight a nice sweaty burger to follow the dry tasteless airline food will go down treat, but I might be in the mood for something a little bit more 'fresh':Erm:

In all fairness you can get rice and chop suey and lot of other stuff in Jolibees that you would not get in McDonalds in the UK, it's not quite as lethal as our fast food restaurants. :)

What airline? I always found KLM's food is pretty good, even at the back of the bus :) I quite liked being woken up in the middle of night for my noodles. How come Asians can do flavoured noodles and boiled water that actually tastes like food, good food and yet pot noddle in the UK is the most foul crud ever invented :icon_lol:

On a more serious note there are a couple of half decent restaurants upstairs in departures near the lounges, most of the lounge food is pretty poor I'm not sure how much local food your are likely to get there though.

I think it is actually quite Scottish in some ways, high fat, lots of stews and a bit bland except for a bit of spice.

I remember sitting there smelling something very familiar then Ana served up a plate of some kind of fried meat, it tried it and turned round to her and said "Ana this is Lorne sausage!!!!" it wasn't but it was quite close :) I think it was fried spam :icon_lol:

I like the Fish, Adobo, the veg dishes, Kaldareta, Laing lots of little things but I do agree a lot of the indiginous food is bland heart attack stuff just like Scotland :icon_lol:

The good thing about Manila is that you can get a really good mix of Asian cuisine at every corner and it's bloody cheap :)

I just miss the food because it feels like home now, when Ana was here in the UK the quality of ingredients here along with her cooking was absolutely great I was completely spoiled, I had always thought that Nanay was the great cook in the family :icon_lol:

Ana really likes my cooking though and I quite often cook for the family when I am there :)
