Hello everyone! I hope some of you can shed a light on my queries...

I'm a spouse of a British National. I arrived here on Fiancee visa, September 2006, subsequently after we got married i applied for leave to remain and currently granted Indefinite Leave to Remain March 2009.

As per the current immigration rules, i'm eligible for citizenship after 3years living in the UK. Does the counting start from when i arrived here September 2006 on Fiancee Visa or after 1 year being granted ILR, which means, March of 2010?

I am hoping to apply before the year ends because i'm planning to go back to the Philippines early next year to be with my ailing mother. and it seems that March 2010 is too far away.:cwm34:

thats 3 years from the time you got here on your spouse visa!

get that uk passport and enjoy traveling?

You are eligible to apply in September 2009. Bear in mind though you need two referees (one who is a professional person and one who is a British passport holder) to sign your application who have known you at least 3 years. Also there is no guarantees how long your application will take - some take only a month, others take up to a year or more.

we are on the same road..came here oct 2006 on a fiance visa got my ilr march 2009 will apply for cit this oct hopefully:)

Clarification though: the 3-year counting starts on the day you enter UK or the day the visa was granted?

It's the day you entered the UK - on the day they process your application you must have been in the UK exactly 3 years ago.
