Footnote. Colin Harris and Co, is a solicitor's business and therefore his services are offered on a fee basis, however his charges for work done are relatively low compared to other firms in London that deal in Immigration matters, Colin is normally happy to arrange an initial consulatation to look at your case before he decides if he can help, it is then that he will lay out any fees involved before you.

Thanks for this info Pete, i had already taken his details previously from another thread on here that i believe you posted and funnily enough am due to see Mr Harris next week. I was wondering if there is anyway of contacting you personally to ask your advice and opinion on my particular situation...it is not so much an immigration issue or at least not within the usual sense, you are already familiar with my case (sorry to be so mysterious) is there anyway i can contact you offline? will be happy to forward you my email add or phone number and would like to pick your brains on my very unusual situation.
cheers

i'm sure Colin Harris is :xxgrinning--00xx3:, but if he cannot help you for what ever reason, don't forget your local law centre should have an immigration lawyer, who should be able to give you up to 30mins of advice for free and also try http://www.iasuk.org/home.aspx

but for some people prevention is better than a cure, so research (use forums like this, read about immigration law/rules) and plan your visa app, check and double check before you post it, to minimise your chances of refusal :xxgrinning--00xx3:

:cwm12: Hi All, I recently visited XXXXXXXXX and the services section. There are many solicitors and immigration advisors wose fees are very less. I am going to use one of them to submit my indefinite leave to remain application using the same day service. It is very difficult to get the appointment with the Home Office and these people can get it when we need it.

@ginapeterb

Ther phone number for Colin Harris & Co has changed. It is now: 020 8346 1155. The address remains the same. Mr. Harris also has reasonable charges for visa applications too (not just for appeals).
