Running costs for diesel are now more expensive than for a petrol, especially if the petrol gets 35+ mpg

Prices will drop for the next 6+ months, and in the present climate you have the dealer by the balls, he will accept anything just to shift stock, even though he will not give that impression.

I looked at new model micra ok not fastest car in world but petrol over 40 to 50 mpg and diesel model 60 mpg easy and it has everythink in it and group 2 insurance road testa all say its great gaz/maybs

With the gap between petrol- diesel 10p+, as long as it is 7p+ petrol works out cheaper. :)

People getting rid of motors particularly 2nd cars and downgrading, companies dumping them as they make redundancies etc.
Of course the Car makers have huge surplus.

Like Mr admin says shop around your get crazy prices.

Sounds like a good plan! I don't think you'll regret it. I ran a series of Audis from 1996 (A4, A6, RS6 - and even the ex-wife's A2 ) and loved them. The only downside was the depreciation, buying new, then P/Xing. Total value of cars purchased in that time = £148k. PX/sale value = £57k. :yikes:

Nice Rover? Surely you didn't put these two words in the same sentance. And someone suggesting micra's? I really think some of you need to watch a few episodes of 'Top Gear'.
