Theres a whole market with resturants near makati or is it paranaque.
With all the heshes on the door.

loads of different resturants (different levels of services and quality of resturant) and a big wet market.
One of the resturants a cousin knows the owner and is very swanky with very rich phill families in it when we went the food was out of this world.
Was also ablso able to buy meats as well to be cooked so i could have some lechon

Also been to another in manila which is far more for the locals with one way in and out and i was the only whitey i saw while there. Got a bit hairy when a bloke walked up with a load of machetes but he was just trying to sell them.

Dampa is one of my favorite places to go to when it come to seafoods. :) The original Dampa is inside BF Paranaque. But there are other dampa places to go now right now and the newest I think is Dampa Seaside Macapagal near Mall of Asia.

Every time we eat in Dampa, I never miss to order Buttered Chili Shrimp (my all-time fave!) and I recommend going to Trinity Restaurant (inside Dampa). I like the way they cook the food. :)

the new one now which is more nicer than dampa before is what they call macapagal boulevard. more restaurants to choose who will cook all wt uve bought in the seafoods markets stalls with in the area. they charge per kilo. Its the one near mall of asia.. Its a big place which loads of restaurants all over it.its up to you what ambiance u will choose. And the seafoods market stalls sells not too expensive.

'Dampa' is originally from Paranaque. I am a Paraquenas, Dampa was our favorite place to go when we crave for real seafood dishes.
My Dad usually go to the wet market (at the back of Dampa) and buy loads of giant white crabs, alimango, big squids, tilapia, green/yellow mangoes and seasonal fruits.

It is between Sto Nino and San Dionisio. In the old days, most of that area were use for salt making and fishing.
My Dad's family is originally from Don-Galo. My great grand father belongs from Principalia's, my grandfather was the president of Lions Club International during his time.

I think I will search for the old maps and written things from my Dad's belongings...Funny how talking of certain things can make you feel so nostalgic of your past.:D
