Still waiting for my (born in Phils) son's passport... 13 months on.

A DNA test would have been quicker and easier. Tossers.

    Graham.... really

I was getting annoyed when it took six months for us to get Jasper's passport. They were stalling with his, asking for more information and unreasonable things. I contacted them via email and unleashed a very strong and stern letter.
They initially didn't want any information about other siblings but I sent it anyways with the original application. Then they wanted more proof of our marriage and documents that I had already sent. I told them that I was not resending the documents as they already had proof from my two other children's applications and if they were anything of a investigating department they could connect the dots and see that my two other children already have their passports with no problems. I think they are useless and have no idea of the stress they cause everyone with their condescending attitude and stance. Again, why should we, with genuine applications suffer like this.

I really think hunk you shouldn't give them 'what for' and get hold of the supervisor of the department to follow up on why it has taken so long.

oh, another thing I just remembered, all of our documents were sent to Hong Kong for reviewing...... I thought the whole point of sending it to the UK was for speed and efficiency...... obviously not!!!!

What was your first step in applying, other than checking the Government website ? I look at it and end up cross eyed ? What info did they require from you ??
