    Looks lovely, but I thought Malaria was endemic in Palawan.

    The high-risk areas for malaria in the Phils are Southern Palawan, Sulu Archipelago and Cagayan Valley/Isabela in Luzon. There are quite a few malaria-free provinces predominantly in the Visayas with the exception of the two on Negros Island, I believe. Elsewhere in the Phils its either free or low/medium risk.
