Same old England, Same old Rooney
Predictable lifeless performance. Rooney a waste of space and an insult to most of those who've gone before him as Captain. Bin him Hodgson

Now overtakes Owen and is about 4th top scorer of all time. No good
Rooney-bashing, the whole squad is rubbish. Worst England squad of all time.

Turned it off after 20 minutes. In what other walks of life would you expect millionaires to roll up their sleeves and really graft ? Overpaid and pampered

Germany v Argentina was the game to watch and United's new signing was the star of the show.

The german side were all stars thats why they won.. Tia maria wont do any good in the premier. Another diego forlan.

They won the world cup. Enough said. Maybe they fielded a young squad.. In fact I just looked at the german squad I only recognised 3 of the names from the world cup side.

Not bothered same may be said of Argentia-main thing is Tia maria made 3 and scored the 4th.
He is going to be good once he settles in to the whole new side-exciting times ahead
What's the outlook for the turnip heads this year (baggies)

Joking aside tho it really shows hoe low the National side has slumped-2 shots on goal against a poor Norway side and loser Hodgson saying we will be playing to small crowds in the Qualifiers
Talk about defeatist
for the first time in my life i have no real interest in the England squad-a bit like the players themselves

Another reason for limiting the foreign players your team can have. Man utd and liverpool have been good in the past at bringing home talent through but sadly it is disappearing now. I have no interest in the premier league or football for that matter. Just glad I dont subscribe to sky and help pay the players ridiculous salaries.

Facts about Rooney
1. Rooney has never scored in a competitive international match against the top nations (Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Holland etc.)
2. The bulk of his international goals have come against countries like Belarus, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Slovakia, San Marino. Montenegro, Andorra etc.
3. He's crap

Wont dout there is truth in some of what you say,but qualifiers are just as important as tournaments and he has done well.
You can't decide who you get in qualifiers you just beat who is put in front of you-and without some of his goals we would not have qualified for some tournaments.
I'm not saying he is great for England as the whole team is pants,Gerrard as well never truly showed his Liverpool form (even worse John Barnes)when he put on an England shirt.

Fair point about Digger Barnes, although he did score a couple of wondergoals. Can only remember Shrek scoring tap-ins and penalties.

Anyway Rooney aside it's the worst England team I can ever remember with a useless manager.
International wilderness for years now

I thought it was a great game. The way the ball was moved around, excellent defensive skills, goalie done his job, yep, Norway played very well.
Rooney is crap for England, his record shows it.
As for Germany, it was the B team against the Argies A team, it was only a friendly. The real footy starts next week.Keith Driscoll - Administrator

As for Hodgson, he's only good at managing second rate teams like Fulham. When it comes to a glamour job he fails miserably.
England need a young buck with new ideas. Someone like Martinez, Rodgers, Klinsmann, Klopp etc.
