Wow... seems I CAN still apply for Irish citizenship !

Yup looks like an option but to do SS you need to keep UK citizens ship go to Ireland then back to UK you only need irish residence card article 10 to go back to UK with your misus and baby

Good start though... at least the Irish online site has traced and recognised my grandmother's birth details, so I can order a birth certificate.
I'll get on to it after I'm back from the Phils next month.
