Medical Insurance
This may be of some use to others here
Just out of curiosity I rang my travel insurance company yesterday to enquire about a policy that would allow me to spend longer periods of time abroad.
Now, my current policy is an annual one but it only allows me to be out of the country for a maximum of 90 days at a time. What they suggested was to take out a Backpackers policy which would give you up to 18 months continuous cover, the only stipulation being that you could not return home within those 18 months for a period exceeding 14 days. When the 18 months are up they said you could apply for an extension which they would approach their underwriters with for approval (I doubt it would be approved if you had made a claim).
May be worth a look for those planning a longer stay or as a stop gap before you get a policy over there.

If you're wondering whether *naming the Insurers you use could be construed as an infringement of the forum's policy on Advertising, Simon ... I shouldn't [think] so since, after all ... ... you'd just be *doing so for the benefit of your friends and colleagues on Filipina Roses - as opposed to trying to procure any pecuniary advantage on behalf of the Company concerned.
If, however, you've any doubts about what I've said, , then you can contact either Keith or Rayna for affirmation.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

How are they keeping him there? Law was passed I think in 2007 to stop this practice.

Another useful link I found for those that are already in the Philippines and need medication:-
https://medgrocer.com/
Might be worth comparing prices to where you're buying from at the moment

Thanks. That's another useful link to add to my list.
I usually get my meds from TGP (The Generics Pharmacy)
There are plenty of branches everywhere with a good range of price options. I've been buying the same brands as I used to get in UK with my prescriptions.
Another one I've seen advertised on TV is RiteMed
