Richie Benaud dies
Never been mad on cricket but he was a good bloke.
"And Glenn McGrath dismissed for two, just 98 runs short of his century."
"The slow-motion replay doesn't show how fast the ball was really travelling."

RIP to the gent. I have heard of him. 84 was not a bad innings.
Had it been me, ...would've pegged it much earlier I dare say....from boredom.

Yet another 'voice' of sport passes on. Like Sid Wadell, sadly gone, and the retired Sir Peter O'Sullevan & Murray Walker.... all had distinct voices you would recognise. Not like the one-toned Neville's and Owen's of this world.

I heard this on the BBC World news.
Very sad. A voice I remember well from a previous life.
Always imagined him to be a real nice bloke, and it seems he was.
Certainly gives us a sense of our own mortality when it's someone you thought would always be there.
RIP Richie Benaud
