    My Phils passport....

Hi to all. Sorry I can't think of any title.

After being married for 5 years did you know that my Phil passport still in my single name. My spouse and ILR visa stamp on it. I just ammend it here in UK a year after bec we need to travel outside the country just incase the immigration question it and for my ILR application that time.

Just a funny thought that me and my husband didn't bothered at all to renew it to my married name, well, may be bec we never had a problem me using it at all. Though its about to expire soon and Im going to apply for naturalisation this year since the immigration laws keep on changing to avoid hassle etc.

    good day

There is no legal requirement in the UK for a woman to change her name to that of her husband when she marries. Many women continue to use their maiden names.

You can change your surname to that of your husband at any time if you so wish.
