Trouble in paradise
I know some folk would not call the Philippines paradise et al and there are some that don't like the place one bit, but still they go.
But has it put a block on thinking of going for a holiday or moving for that longer period?
When you read the news and even hear stories on here too.
I know that nowhere is safe these days too.
Not many people the top of the Philippines is it Vigan area, could that be a better choice?

The safest place would be Batanes. 0% crime rate.

Some countries are quite volatile politically speaking, could be worse, we could be chatting about somewhere like DRC or Libya
Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Yes, you're probably right, Graham. Given that he had already stopped taking/responding to Private Messages, I decided to query his [somewhat uncustomary ongoing] absence with the
rest of the Mods, a few weeks ago. And, in turn, I received a reply from Peter himself, reassuring me he was, "safe and sound".

But ... ... that's the last I've heard!

He was going on holiday with friends for a week or so, and maybe thought a break for longer was needed.

There's a lot to see and do in the Ilocos Region and it's a place on my bucket list. Not sure where I'll be going on my next visit although Guimaras, Concepcion and Isla de Gigantes (below) are distinct possibilities. Perhaps Coron. Maybe Masbate. Even Catanduanes & Caramoan.

Guimaras is ok, nothing super special however. The mangoes there are the same....just Ok Graham, I don't know if you remember but Phil settled in Guimaras for a while, dont know if he is still there? I heard a few weeks ago an old friend of mine, Swiss guy, had died from cancer on Siquijor. Don't hang around making plans carpe diem.

The longer you are away from the forum the easier it is to keep away, but you may just have a sneak look in now and again.

Plebians of the world unite. Oh to be allowed into the elusive inner sanctum, what sort of initiation ceremony or hazing do we have to undergo oh masters?
