Lightbulb 'Top Model City' Award Goes To ... Bacolod!

    http://www.manilatimes.net/bacolod-n...l-city/326750/ ...

Bacolod has been designated the Philippines' "most liveable urban center" ... beating twelve other cities to earn the prestigious title.

's where Brian, k/a 'Tiger' and his partner used to live before moving to the Irish Republic to avail themselves of the 'Surinder Singh' route.

So it seems Tagatay is the best place to retire to, Davao the Tourist hub of the Philippines, as for Bacolod apart from one particular tourist destination, it didnt strike me as a place i would want to live, never mind being the Most liveable urban centre, in fact i thought it was rather dirty, and didnt come anywhere near Dumaguete.

Tagatay is a wonderful place to call home , and what a view too. there are many places that are nice but being on holiday for a few weeks is so much more different then living in the place.
Dumaguete i have lots of people i know who live out that way and it sounds ok too, but again there are people who say thats dirty and smelly place to be.
But never having been there i cannot say.

Bacolod was pretty dismal when I went there, not a lot going for it compared to dumaguete down on the other end of negros

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Again, I say, "Don't shoot the messenger" . Having never been there ... ... all I'm doing is sharing what I read, in an effort to stimulate members' interest in the latest "goings~on" within our respective countries.

Personally, I thought Bacolod was the cleanest city I've visited along with Bogo in northern Cebu.

Well ... ... there you are, then ... and I daresay the aforementioned Tiger thought so too.

... just shows - yet again - we're ALL different!
