    Bonifacio Day Today

Yes, Bonifacio Day is another National Holiday.

Today was the day my wife chose to go to Divisoria to buy material for curtains and sofa coverings.
Why sofa covers? Because my birthday is coming and so is Christmas. Means party-time. Means greasy fingers, spilled drinks etc etc.
So please cove my expensive leather corner sofa with a protective cover.

Once I realised it was a holiday and there would be millions of people wandering around I chickened out of Divisoria (I've suffered many times before) and agreed my wife and her friend (the seamstress) could go together and I'd pay for the whole day. Train fare, lunch, merianda, snacks, drinks, more snacks, more merianda etc etc , tricycles, snacks, drinks and all materials.

Well done to them both I say

I stayed home end enjoyed painting the front door white.....
White is the new happy colour in our house......despite the door being hand carved Nara

My wife phoned home and asked me to pop down to Riverbanks and get a 'Chooks-to-Go' BBQ chicken for dinner.
Naturally being Bonifacio Day holiday the whole world .......the queue was long and all the Chooks had been paid for.
OK I had to wait for 50 mins for the next batch. I paid and my number was 13. Went to Bonfire Grill had a few San Migs and back for my Chooks.

Every holiday is the same here in the Philippines. So many many people out and about spending spending spending.

And they say this is a poor country
