    Angry Train Seat Furore

    www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-37173048 ...

Having watched last night's news featuring Jeremy Corbyn pictured sitting unceremoniously in the corridor of London-bound express, I have to say with the Labour leader's point of view.

OK yes ... ... this was a man on a mission - in that he deliberately put himself in this position in order to prove or disprove irate passengers' frequent complaints about the difficulties encountered in finding a seat in any of the second class compartments on the said "Virgin's" long distance services. And though he appeared to stumble his way past a whole lot of seats which seemed to be unoccupied, those had reservation tickets tucked at the back of each ... meaning, of course, that, unless you had pre~booked, then your chances of travelling in comfort were, at BEST, minimal!

Arthur, normally I agree with you, bit in this instance

Points in what I think are in order of importance.....

The leader of the opposition hasn't got the intelligence to book a seat on a train which he knows is going to be overcrowded

There were seats available as he states, but he wanted to sit next to his wife ( your link). Can't see his wife sitting on the floor next to him though

The blokes meant to be the leader of the opposition, someone who want us to vote in to run our country, but he'd rather try and score points by sitting on the floor than have a seat in first class and do some actual work

He's been caught out and it's come back to bite him on the the blokes an idiot

Well there will be no chance of them ever winning with him in charge, he would ruin this country and every union would run this country

Not a great fan of Jeremy Corbyn and he has done himself no favours with this fiasco.

Well, Simon ... ... what's there to say, really?

    Let's put it this way:

Although I'm no particular fan of Corbyn's - and most certainly NOT a Labour Party supporter, - I do admire his "stance" if, indeed, he did what he did for the right reason(s) ... which, as I understood, was to draw attention to the problem of overcrowding on ALL Rail Companies' cross~border, long-distance trains.

    I prefer him to Smith!
But as I often say with politicians it means choosing the less worse of a bad bunch, I trust or totally believe none of them.
