We have got our Fiancé Visa, what happens after 6 months??

    Hi All,

Thanks to the help of the people on here and reading lots of posts we eventually got our Fiancé visa last week after much stress and expense as I am sure all of you are aware of!

My question is I need to marry my Fiancé within the 6 months, can I go up to the weekend before the Fiancé Visa expires? The reason is we both want maximum time to arrange the wedding and she wants to be sure that she can adapt to life in the UK and the cold!

What do we have to apply for next after we are married to keep her in the UK, assuming of course she marries me, I am hoping she will! Also how soon can we apply after we are married? I don't want to be in the situation where we are married but then she has to go home because I have done something wrong, or missed something.

I am just wondering whether you have to apply for the next step a certain number of days before the current Fiancé Visa expires?

all advice is welcome, thanks in advance,

    SDM.

    Congratulations on the visa success

The FLR(M) application needs to be submitted as soon as possible after the wedding and at least before the date of current visa expiry.
Within UK date of application is generally as postmarked.
