cheap flights
Looking at the good old USA for our holiday this coming xmas ,
Looking at prices flying from London to Florida and booking through Virgin for two its £768 which is pretty good, thats with a stop over both ways but still is a good time ,
Now if i book with another agent the price goes down to £708,
Is it worth booking through a agent or for the sake of £60 going direct ,

US Airways is usually the cheapest to the US, Virgin are expensive. London>Florida is very competitive.

Wonder what the prices are to cebu around that date.
Hopefully the spouse visa is granted before then and I can travel to cebu for a holiday before bringing the wife home

Yes good point.
I'm not bothered about flight time on the way home as my wife will be with me and we will be happy just to be together.
If I can get a flight with Singapore Airlines we would like to stop off in Singapore for a day anyway.
Does anyone know if we get a flight with a stopover, do we gave to retrieve our checked in luggage or will they keep it for the flight ?

They will tell you at check in, but if your connecting flight is with the same airline your baggage will automatically be transferred. Not to sure if a different airline for the connecting flight.
Edit, sorry. Didn't read your question properly. Best to ask at check in. My guess would be you' d have to collect it as there would not be a aircraft to transfer the luggage too whilst you are on your stopover. And speaking from my job experience, we wouldn't keep baggage in our facility for a connecting flight as its a security risk. But then each country and airline is different.
