Common sense I'd have thought. Everything on a plane is weight-critical. Good business sense too. More fatties mean less cargo...and less space for slim folk like me.

Hopefully it will encourage people to get down to a normal weight and be able to live a healthy life and live longer, also lessen the burden on the NHS

Yep...in the news today...3 million with diabetes in the UK now. Mostly through being OBESE.
The NHS shouldn't have to to be wasting money on idle gluttons, who would otherwise have been healthy.
If I can give up smoking (including on the plane), then they can stop stuffing their faces.
