Lightbulb Bid To Spy On Public 1,400 Times A Day

So, ... who ARE those 'Super Snoopers'??

Why, the police, of course. Apparently police can access the public's & email records at an alarming rate of once every two minutes ... it has emerged. And only a tiny fraction of requests - somewhere around 8% - to allow them to do this, are refused ...

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...0-seconds.html refers.

Hmm ... ... seems George Orwell's futuristic predictions really are coming true!

If it protects the public and helps capture the pond life then it's of no worries to me

I agree with that Arthur, had one email and two phone calls this year so far and they were all Home Office linked

They have been coming true since 1984 Art and not always for our benefit..
I`m thinking seriously about disconnecting from the grid.

Tbh ... ... it doesn't bother me personally, as I've nothing to hide. And ANY safety measures taken to protect the wellbeing of the general public - especially in these troubled times ... when the very real threat of sudden terrorist attack looms over us - are all to the good. But I daresay there will be a great many who're bound to *view *('scuse pun) such actions as a GROSS infringement of their civil liberties.
