You can't even bail your neighbours out.

One-fifth of jobs in London are low-paid, report says

So there are no unemployed in London? No one claiming benefits, or claiming housing benefits at £100s a week

I see Con Cameron is finally seeing the light, saying that increasing the minimum wage saves the taxpayer money and he seems to have forgotten the Tory mantra that increasing the minimum wage would cost millions of jobs

British businesses should increase the wages of their staff and pay the living wage for lower paid workers as they enjoy record profits in the wake of the fall in oil prices, David Cameron has said.

In a sign that the Tories appreciate they need to intensify their efforts to meet Ed Miliband’s campaign on the cost of living crisis, the prime minister said that growing profits should be “passed through” in wage rises.

The prime minister called for companies to act after official figures show that the fall in oil prices in recent months has led to a 16-year high in the profitability of companies. The figures from the Office for National Statistics showed that corporate profitability, using a measure of the return on the cost of production, was 12% in the third quarter of 2014.

I was banging on about workers being paid peanuts a long time ago

Well I've said a few times on here the taxpayer is subsidising employers who are paying the minimum wage. Increase the minimum wage and save the taxpayer money, because some will not be able to claim benefits any more or less of a benefit.

They are too ill to work ? What's up with them? If they can work, why hasn't the jobcentre cut their benefits if they cannot provide evidence they've been applying for jobs
