    Philippine Airlines Review

    Philippine Airlines Review

    Would you love:
1 . Breakfast time inside the NAIA terminal at Manila
2 . Afternoon tea in London UK

Philippine airlines 12. 5 hour non-stop flight from Manila and travelling to London successfully rewarded their passengers as they had promised in their adverts: to depart and arrive at the destination on the same day.

Though it was raining and the weather was icy when we arrived at Heathrow, we were beaming with pride. Not only because we were aboard PAL’s latest, ultra-modern twin-engine 370-seater Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, but because, after 15 years, our very own Philippine aircraft carrier has finally made its victorious return.

This is an ambition fulfilled for the energetic force behind the successes of Philippine Airlines, its president, Ramon S. Ang.

Not only does PAL deliver its promise of a safe and smooth flight, but it also offers the most reasonable airfares for its Manila - London - Manila trip:

    Economy Class
Cost, inclusive of taxes: $1, 052
    Free checked-in baggage: 20 kilos
    Hand-carried baggage: 7 kilos

    Business Class
Cost, inclusive of taxes: $2, 900
    Free checked-in baggage: 40 kilos

The promo fares had been placed on sale till January 14, 2014, along with a travel time period from November 2013 to May 31, 2014.

Throughout the airline flight, there is no need to be worried about your own famished tummy since the airline offers an array of tasty foods put together by six distinguished chefs. This team is led by Fernando Aracama. Japanese executive chef Masahiro Mizumoto of Traders Hotel, See Cheong Yan of Enderun Colleges, Suwanna Puangdee of Benjarong Royal Thai Restaurant, Clifton Lyles from the California Cultural Academy, in addition to London trained Filipino-Chinese chef, Bruce Lim who completes the list.

For breakfast on the Manila - London flight, the chefs offered the following meals in their menu: beef tapa with poached egg and garlic fried rice;seafood torta with marinated cherry tomato salad and steamed rice; Peking duck omelette along with crab and corn fried rice; asparagus and goat cheese quiche together with peppered bacon and rosemary potatoes, gourmet tuyo, Spanish sardines in olive oil, together with Japanese miso soup.

Soup dishes and heated meals included these selections: Chicken With Lemongrass With Kalo-kalo Fried Rice Beef Short Ribs Pochero With Potato Cake; tau cheong ginger duck together with vegetable fried rice; plus grilled cod in lemon brown butter with mashed potatoes.

If you are not quite prepared to partake of the weighty dishes, you can begin with their selection of starters: smoked tea prawns with mango avocado salsa, corn soup with scallops with steamed organic red rice, and roasted onion, mini whole wheat batard, green olive ciabatta slices and lavosh with sea salt with butter.

Should you be the sort who would alternatively take the in-between or perhaps all-day foods, you are able to pick from these choices: warm beef tenderloin sandwich with grilled onion rings and nuts and chips with salsa. However, PAL would not miss to offer its signature arroz caldo dish, that is garnished with salted egg, fried garlic, spring onions, and lime, then all dished up with caramelized baby anchovies and Chinese pickles.

Throughout the lengthy airline flight, you’re able to settle back, unwind and watch a movie from PAL’s offered variety of the most up-to-date box office hits together with classic favourites, which also includes the top Tagalog films. PAL most certainly understands the right way to serve its travellers. On this new route, PAL will surely add additional hearts and smiles to the 664, 000 Filipino kababayans around Europe, and more to the 250, 000 Pinoys living in the United Kingdom.

    What a list of pretentious-sounding

When they start flying to Manchester and still charging a low enough price...count me in.

Think this may be a bit out of date. When I flew back last August they'd given the elbow to the nice new Boeings and replaced them with some rather tatty ex Iberia A340's and staff were handing out Ipads so you could watch a film. Not impressed on the return.
I'll try and stick with Cathay or Singapore in future as you don't pay that much more to travel with 2 of the Top 3 Airlines in the world
