Death of Spouse - remarry - question
Hi
If you were married in America and the marriage was recorded at the CFO, then later the American husband died, would you then be able / free to remarry and remove / change the details held at the CFO relating to your previous marriage??
Cheers and Happy New Year

Why would you need to change anything if you are now a widow (ie technically 'single' and free to marry)...and have proof of that fact ?

Death certificate might be a bonus.

Agree with Graham and Andy.
The death certificate is the key.
That's what makes you free to marry.
