Family torn apart by immigration may meet on holiday, after US friends set up donation page
Says she is looking after her father but then says she doesn't earn enough money to sponsor her husband. She needs a job just like everyone else
[A FAMILY torn apart by immigration laws may have the chance to spend two weeks together on holiday, thanks to the generosity of supporters in the US.
Stretton woman Alison Tanik, and her children India, six, and Lulu, three, are separated from her Turkish husband Omer because she does not earn enough money to sponsor him to live in the UK under British laws.
The family has not seen him since August, but thanks to the help of friends in the US, that may change in the new year, after a donation page was set up to fund a family holiday in Malta.
"It's wonderful. It would mean so much to all of us if we were able to do this.
