Advice please on our status (Filipino-British fiancee and British son)

    Hi all. Good day

I just need advice based from your/other experiences and based from current policy of UK Govt.

My fiancee (which is Filipino-British) and I had a son (British citizen) is trying to look for options on how i can go to UK and live there with them, and of course work there. They went back here in the Philippines 6mos after giving birth to our first baby. They will going back in UK this Sept (since I think our baby isn't able to stay long outside UK, correct me if I'm wrong).

As what I said, we are trying to look for possible options whether we get married here, or apply for fiance visa to be married in UK. or should I apply for a job there for me to be able to live there.

Can anyone give us advise please, what is the fastest option for us? We don't want to be separated for long since we need to watch our baby grow and take care of him.

    Thank you in advance.

Can I take it your Fiancée and child have British Passports ?
And that you have a Filipino passport ?

If this is the case, then without a confirmed offer of employment from a licensed sponsor employer you'll need to follow the usual UK immigration rules for partners.

Based on the information you've shared, the major issue will be meeting the Financial Requirement.
This means your sponsor (partner) will need to have a minimum annual gross income of £18600 plus adequate accommodation. This applies to both Fiancé and Spouse.
The advantage of being married at the time of visa application is that upon arrival into UK you would be eligible for employment right away. Under Fiancé visa no employment is allowed until you are married and have applied for and been granted a visa for Further Leave to Remain.

Yes, better to get married while she's still there in Manila with you ...ie... now !

Then she sponsors you on a spouse visa.

You can then come to UK and start working to help support them.
