[Arthur Little]

Daniel Robert Little ... a healthy 10lbs ... born sometime around 09.00 hours this morning at Glasgow's Southern General Hospital. Daniel is the 2nd son of my youngest nephew, Graeme and his wife, Liz.

Liz happens to be a nurse by profession; she and Graeme met away back in the mid 1990s when both were students at Glasgow University ... where they later chose to marry at the university chapel in April 2003.

Why am I announcing this on here? Well, firstly, I'm at the news because the proud parents are both fast~ approaching the BIG 40 ... the age my daughter, Fiona was when she gave birth to her 2nd child four years ago.

Secondly, this wee boy - and his older brother, Jamie Andrew (4, in May) - will perpetuate 'Clan Little' in my immediate family's direct line of ascendancy.

Thirdly ... it occurs to me that, should he, in years to come, decide to follow his Mum into the Medical Profession, his name already has the appropriate initial letters "D R LITTLE" ... ... but this is just my daft !.

Sadly my direct male line ends with me..........so far

I've managed to trace my family tree all the way back to 1107. Been unable to trace back further for more than 4 years now.
