this is a picture of the chocolate hills after the earthquake, this was a beautiful amazing place to see before this happened, i am sure its still going to be amazing now because of what nature has done to itself

There's no denying that Chocolate Hills is a top tourist destination

I wonder if the damage can be overcome by nature.......only time will tell. I hope so.

Steve, I hope you don't mind that I add some additional images of the damage caused by the earthquake:-

The viewing platform was also completely destroyed (see below), hope it somehow gets reconstructed soon...

    Thanks for these pics!

My wife said the Chocolate Hills themselves have been damaged, but I thought that she'd got that wrong. I assumed that they were just big geological features that wouldn't be affected much by an earthquake. These pics prove otherwise!

However, it looks like in most cases, the topsoil has slipped away, taking the vegetation with it. Whilst this looks serious, it probably won't be noticeable in a few years time, once the vegetation has re-established itself.

The one in Terpe's second pic has been cut in half though!

Anyway, I'd better go and apologise to the wife and tell her that she was right!
