powercuts (or brownouts )

well after moving to bacolod city I was,nt expecting this ,out of the first 14 days we have had 8 days of powercuts today being the longest without power 9 hours .good job the temp is cooler here or I would have frazzled lol .I hope this is not gonna be a regular thing as it would put the dampers on my move ,so far everything is is good.

well we have powercut here too and not even in philippines ,thunder and lightning storm with big hailstones

Had a few brownouts in Dumaguete, but in UK never experienced a black out for more than twenty years

If its that bad where you live,why not get your self an inverter.. Hook it up to a charged battery and let it run your fans,TV,laptop etc.. You can plug 220v right into them..
You can buy them in places like CDR king.
Im not sure how long the battery lasts but you can hook it up to the battery in your car or motorbike and leave it running..

Works using wood or charcoal. The kids at my daughters school use a similar device when they have outings. From what ive heard its mainly used for cellphone charging.

I enjoy a good brownout. Think of all the positives. Your saving money on electricity, people actually start talking to each other. You can play some board games with the family.
Even better if its just the two of you can come up with some new game

Only knew about it last year and have only seen the one at school. Somebody bought it in the US for around 100 bucks.
Guess it would but you would need lots and lots of wood to run it and this lady to help you.
