    Connecting flights

Hi all Has anyone had long connection waiting time? I was just wondering if you can go outside the airport for a look around?

I believe it is relatively easy to pop outside the airport for a few hours in Singapore. Haven't done it myself, but one or two on here have done it, I gather.

In most countries it isn't a problem. I've done it in a few places. Kuwait for instance has more restaurants and shops landslide. Abu Dhabi I had 10 hours so checked into the Crowne Plaza Yas Island for some rest.
Amsterdam Schiphol has a mall landslide worth going to.

Some airports like Singapore, Hong Kong, Cairo etc actually have stopover tours for connections of more then 4 hours.

Ah, slightly different situation for China. You will need a visa, which is very easy to get and is all done by courier, but I think it costs £80 ish?

There is a Plaza Premium lounge that you can pay to use, which gives you showers, food, drink and abplacebto, relax peacefully.

Ghangzhou is worth going out though, malls near to the airport and subway direct to the city.
