Danao always had a reputation as being the place to go if you wanted to get hold of a weapon. I went there once, but didn't see much evidence of that sort of trade.
But gun culture is huge in the Philippines. I can't say that I approve of it, but I did enjoy firing an M16 on one New Years Eve!
