Applied spouse visa Axa building Manila mid October 2009....received it 4 weeks later.

Applied ILR November 2011 at the Cardiff office, as with Arthur, used same day premium service although, we had to wait a couple of days to get passport back via special delivery.

Due to apply for British Citizenship this coming Mid November but, seeing how we will be in The Philippines then, we will apply in December. This time applying in our home town.

I've made this as a sticky thread so everyone would have an idea about the visa timeline.

    As for mine..
    Fiancee Visa (2011) - 2 weeks
FLR(M) - did it by post and they received my application on March 27, 2012...had biometrics a week after..and as for the result, currently waiting for 15 weeks!!!!

    Fiancee Visa (2011) - 2 weeks
    FLR(M) (27th March 2012-14th Feb. 2013) - 10.5 FREAKING MONTHS!!!

Hopefully in ILR time, it'll just be 1 day only!

My wife's Spouse visa took 2 weeks in 2011, including the extra day or so for the IOM Immigration authorities to look at it.

Hi, folks ... I have received your personal message on my profile. ... I'm afraid Moderators are not empowered to grant access to the Private Messaging facility - which, due to its misuse in the past - is currently no longer available to members who've not yet attained 'Respected' status. Nor, unfortunately, does there seem to be a Message Box into which a reply can be typed on your page.

However, all is not lost! ... I'd like to draw your attention to an extremely helpful thread compiled on the 11th of last month by my friend and co-Moderator, Terpe, in the wake of the recent changes. Entitled: 'All New *Guide - How to Apply for Spouse and Partner Visas', it is, as its *name implies, a step by step guide to the process.

Scroll down to the sub-heading: 'How Much Income do I need to have?' Then ... refer to the 4th paragraph which states clearly that "Promises of Third Party Support cannot, any longer, be counted towards financial requirements".

Disappointing for many, I know ... ... but, it would appear that, for now at least, applicants' "hands are tied" in this respect.
