Pinoys Watch Partial Solar Eclipse
"Many Filipinos woke up early Monday to keep tabs on a ring-shaped solar eclipse where the moon partially blocked the sun.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the eclipse started at 4:59 a.m. in Manila, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported.
PAGASA astronomers used filters to view and document the eclipse, which started to "peak" at 5:58 a.m. until past 7 a.m."
