Post Changing the docs or no?

    hello

I am married already and I am wondering if I should change everything now that I am married specifically the documents and the papers, should I? Is it really a must to change the passport before getting a visa coz it might be the reason why the visa wont be granted?

What other documents that must be changed?

    Please help me guys

    Thank you!! xx

It's a personal choice really. But having said that I notice that almost everyone here has changed to their married name.

My wife hasn't changed her passport. She travelled to the UK with her passport in her maiden name. Which is OK. And she has been here 6 months and it is still in her maiden name.

But it is up to you. You can choose either way.

I would love to change it to my married name now but since we don't have much time to do it then I think I will just wait for the expiration date which is on 2014 soon

We are planning to apply a tourist visa again in Austria good for 3months July till September 2012.

I have so many reasons why I need to go Austria again.

    1. To attend the wedding of the cousin of my husband as I am invited.
    2. The family of my husband wants to have a welcome party as I am part of their family already.
    3. To spend honeymoon there
    4. To learn cooking from my mother in law.

But I am not sure if my reason why I need to come back to Phil is valid.

Reason is that I have to come back to take the licensure examination for teachers and have to do a review for 3months when I come back. Do you think they will buy that??

    Thanks a lot guys!

I agree with waiting for passport renewal time.

Why invite possible problems in document processing when things are complicated enough already ?

If your new husband was called 'Mr. Idiot', you might not be in such a hurry.

We had 5 days between marriage and take-off for UK, so the last thing on her mind.

As some members advice me not to change my passport when I got married last June 27... it's great! nothing to worry in everything because it easy to file the application especially if you have all the documents needed.. I followed their advice because it will take time if your going to change your passport.

As your passport is valid until 2014, Ana ... it's best leaving it the way it is for now - less hassle all round when you've lots of other, more important things on your plate.

If you are going to change your name...better do it here in UK. Most things are straightforward.
No need to hurry and it is just down to your own personal choice.
