Another conversation with a suspected "scammer"...

I had a chat with Mr Bruce again a while ago cos I am curios about something... I want to know something from him but I began to get scared when he started asking me about my ip location... this is our conversation... I still manage to calm despite what he did though I wanted to tell him that he is a damn "scammer"...

what does he mean when he asked me to click the ip2location.com? he said, it's what he need... why does he need to know??????????????... what does he want???????????...

I already reported the incident to ukba...

I now realize that sometimes finding the answers to our curiosity sometimes bring us further harm...

I guess he is trying to find out where in Phils you are, maybe he suspects that you are an authority/police chasing him.

If you look at the bottom of your post here, you will see a little black box with IP in it, this is your IP address. If you google 'IP locator' or 'IP tracker' you can copy the long number post it in the search on one of these tracker sites to find your server or location (not exact postal address, but the area your ISP covers.

Like I said, he is testing you to see where you are. Dont give it to him. There is no way he can find or do any business by knowing your ip address.

This is not how someone who is genuinely interested in you should be communicating.

I don't know what nationality he's supposed to be, but he can't spell, or write grammatically correct English !

I did ignored that man but he keeps on appearing online and it means he is still free... the thought that many more innocent victims is/will/had suffering/suffer/suffered the same frustrations, anger, disappointments etc as I did upset me...

I was supposed to tell him how bad he is, I was supposed to ask him how many more victims fell off into his trap, but I realize it's no use, so instead of blaming him, I manage to chat with him nicely/calmly... But when he said he wanna know some ip address in the Philippines, I got bothered... Thinking that he could give his, I gave him a wrong ip address but I did not get I wanted from him... stupid thought...

But anyway, I hardly believe that he will surely end in ...

I also learned my lesson...
