3 weeks? ... !!! There's no way I could've hung out that long when MY wife applied for hers on February 23 ... the stress would've been enough to kill me at my time of life! Which was why WE decided to apply at our nearest PEO in Glasgow - only 55 miles away - and had the result in less than three HOURS. £350 extra, I know! And ME an OAP! But it was worth every penny - if only for the sake of our peace of mind!

Anyway, Rusty ... three weeks IS very quick for postal applications - as we'd been told these normally take up to fourteen weeks in normal circumstances. So Congratulations & well done, both of you.

Alas ... patience is NOT one of MY virtues ... whether waiting for either GOOD - or BAD - news; otherwise, I'm a [reasonably] patient guy ... honestly!

For me I don't like spending more money than I have to. It would have been a day off work (unpaid) and our local office is over 130 miles away.

I was not worried about the application as we provided all the documents required and applied in plenty of time. We have had 3 different addresses in the 2 years she has been here and she spent 3 months away in the Philippines last year also.

Just read the application carefully, answer all questions truthfully and provide all the documents requested.

Thanks for all you kind words.

I was confident of a successful application because of all the helpful advice and support this forum gives.

Good luck to all still waiting or about to apply for any visa.
