    British Citizenship Application Approved

3 weeks after I submitted my application for British citizenship, I received my letter of invitation for citizenship by post.

It was waiting for me upon our return from our holiday in the Philippines.

I wil be attending the ceremony Thursday afternoon in Maidstone.

Seems like yesterday I was in Manila applying for my spouse visa. How time flies!

    And yes joebloggs, NEARLY

I am looking forward to the ceremony Arthur, should be a very pleasant experience.

I just have a bit of a problem. Fast forward to when I get my British passport, I will then be required to apply for ESTA prior to travel to the USA. My US visa expired 7 months ago. Unfortunately, I was once denied a US visa. March 14, 2005 to be exact (it was my birthday thats why I remember the date). Will this affect my ESTA application? Anyone with the same experience?

And Joebloggs, make sure you hide well cause if you get caught could well possibly be a thing in the past
