The spanish embassy now use the services of the VFS.

All the visa information you need can be found here http://es.vfsglobal.co.uk/

Pity that ... because VFS charges a "handling fee" [not sure how much!] ... otherwise the visa itself is issued free to spouses of British Citizens - which you'll be after October 23rd, Emma. Myrna previously HAD a 6 months' multi-entry Schengen Visa which was issued directly to her by the French Consulate in Edinburgh - without the services of a "middleman". But that was in November last year ... and it was for going to France (the Spanish Embassy evidently operates a different policy). As it happened, she used it once only ... for our "honeymoon" to Paris in March ... and of course it has long-since expired.

hi all just been on both the sites and is it right that if you are applying you must have 3 or more months left on your visa , emmas runs out jan 26 then we apply for the flr then, i would like to take emma away for a holiday and honeymoon to spain for 2 weeks but am i wasting my time, do i wait till we get the flr then plan our trip, it seems to me that this is the only way , any advice please
